That you’ll eventually be freed
Is how we treat whom we imprison;
And shows the kind of lives we lead.
There’s nothing like a complication
When you’re put in incarceration:
If you’re convicted of a crime,
You WAIT until you’ve done your time.
And if you finish, your mentality
Will, like a turtle with its shell,
Be burdened by your weighty cell;
And you will drag it till finality.
And citizens will all agree
They should have thrown away the key.
